Pleased to wake up with no dogs in sight

Most of my dreams are quite pleasant although some involve dashing around trying to find a toilet. These occur when I’m putting off getting up.
However, last night I dreamt we took delivery of two Labrador dogs – a chocolate and a cream. I’m not sure what brought this on. There are a lot of dogs in our gated village. Most are what we call ‘designer dogs’. There are a lot of poodle crosses – caboodle (Cavalier/poodle), cockapoo (cocker spaniel/poodle), maltipoo (maltese/poodle), etc. One website lists 61 different poodle crosses. Mostly, a poodle cross won’t shed its coat making it more suitable for asthmatics and those with allergy to dog hair. The Shih Tzu/Maltese cross is also very popular.
Most here are smaller dogs; some, like their owners, are very old. A few are yappy which draws complaints from nearby neighbours. Having to look after their dog’s needs gets the elderly up and going in the morning. I have a husband. I don’t need a dog.
Anyway, I was glad to wake up find we didn’t have two great lolloping Labrador pups waiting for me.

@JudyEv besides you can play with your neighbors dogs and not have to provide for them nor take them home. Just like kids

Sooooo, Vince is all you need to keep you on your toes?
Just kidding, I wanted to say something else but when I wrote it there was something sarcastic and mean about it so I didn't. It's hard to convey funny in writing .... at least for me it is.

I've been misunderstood a time or two too so I know what you're saying. I use the emojis a lot as they seem to help. Putting a smiley face after a remark helps convey that you meant no malice. And if English isn't your first language, things can come out wrong sometimes. I try to cut people a bit of slack if I'm unsure.

LOL at your comment of having a husband and not needing a dog.

Kind of reminds of me waking up to the sound of the smoke detector chirping. I was dreaming about the sound, only to find out.... I wasn't dreaming.

@JudyEv It woke my husband, too. And, if it's that annoying when the batteries need changing, then it'll do it's job.

I've never heard of a caboodle.
Except for the Caboodle make up cases.

@JudyEv Our two most recent dogs were lap dogs. They loved to sleep in my lap.

Funny, I often have that same dream about looking for a bathroom. It usually means I have to go.
You probably dreamed about dogs because not only do we talk/type about dogs here a lot but you see a lot of them daily there.
