A good morning walk... enjoying fresh strawberries.

Good morning from this side of the planet.. It's 10:30 AM here as I write this post. It's a bright sunny day with a cool breeze and so nothing to complain about this fabulous weather. I am enjoying the first break of the work mylotting and soaking in the warm sun. And I have some yummy juicy strawberries to enjoy as mid morning snacks. To enjoy this 30 minutes break, I started mylotting with this post. It's been few days that I have made a discussion post here. I just get too busy with notifications and responding to recent discussions. Today I will move to reading and responding after this post. Notifications will wait till afternoon when I plan to come back here We woke up fresh today after a good 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. It was breathing exercises and weight training on the exercise schedule today. But husband said that we should go walking on the cycling trail that he discovered last year. And we just went for an early morning walk. We walked for an hour amidst this greenery. It was so relaxing. Nothing beats an outdoor walking exercise among such serene surrounding. I have attached the picture here. Since many people have still not discovered this trail, we enjoy it even more. I dropped the idea of cooking any breakfast after that walk..I had to log in early for work. So, we had toast, butter and banana for breakfast. Glad that we picked fresh bread from bakery in neighbourhood. They open as early as 6:30 in the morning and their fresh breads sell like hot cakes in the morning. They are out of stock for fresh breads by 7:30, such is the popularity of their fresh home made breads. I have my last session for the day from 11_12 and then I would head to the kitchen for making lunch. Nothing much is there for afternoon and I should be able to be online here. Now, I should go to reading and responding. Hope all is going well in your mylot corner.

Good morning. It's 4:37 am when I'm writing my response to your discussion. We had a bright, sunny day yesterday with the high of 12.7C. This is the warmest day this week. Our temp is dropping and is supposed to reach -15C by dawn. (Although I don't think it will get quite that cold this morning. Imagine that! The forecast is going to be wrong! It's still 2.7C right now.) We're supposed to be getting more icy rain/snow by tonight and lasting through tomorrow. I'm hoping that part of the forecast is also wrong. (If it does start raining/snowing you can come enjoy walking in it. I promise, I wouldn't dream of stopping you. ) I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day.

@arunima25 I fell asleep for a while around 6 pm but woke up around 11 pm and have been on myLot since then. It doesn't matter when I go to sleep, I always wake up at 6 am but can go back to bed again after feeding my fishies and taking my morning meds. I'm glad you're having a good day and hope you'll have a good night, too.

I would not leave my warm blanket if I was there.. Maybe design some exercises that I can do from the comfort of my bed. Hey, I can do pranayam ( breathing exercises)from the comfort and some of those burn enough calories like any cardio workout would do. The day is going good so far. I am keeping a relaxed afternoon for cyberspace though I have few chores to be done. I am in no mood to do them now. Hope your weather forecast goes wrong. I am assuming that you have not gone to sleep yet because it's too early to wake up unless you are early morning riser.

I'm surprised it's that warm there. Here it's 8C today and we thought it was quite a warm day for the time of year! It hasn't been that cold at night though.

It's indeed serene and that early in the morning, you could listen to the beautiful chirping of birds. That's heavenly feeling. It's the season of oranges and strawberries. I am just having them regularly before they are gone. They should be here till February end

@sinari Yes, they are tempting and those two are my favourite. Even green and black grapes are flooding the markets now. I should get some soon.

@arunima25 Wow, that's great, right now your place is in season for oranges and strawberries. It's nice to be able to see the yellowing oranges and the red strawberry color is very tempting to eat.

Even I love going for walks. However, I'm not a morning person. I usually go for evening walks

Glad to know that you enjoy walking. It's the best, cheapest and most convenient exercise. We can do it anytime as it suits us. Sometimes I go for evening walks too after dinner with my family. But that would be within our apartment complex.

Wow that's a beautiful walk path and also quite great to walk and forage for fruits at the same time. Are you making any desserts from them?

There were no fruits on these paths. We don't get strawberries grown here. They come from other state and are in season during December and January. My younger daughter used them to top the chocolate cake that she baked. I have made a post today about the same and shared the picture.

Strawberries don't grow here locally. We get it from the other states and they are in season during December and January. I had a good day after a refreshing walk Oh! Too much of snow can be really annoying. Hope you get some warm days ahead

@FayeHazel I didn't go for walk or outdoor activities after that day. A lot of cases in our apartment complex and it's a containment zone. I am not stepping out unless it is absolutely needed.

It is 1:05 p.m. here right now. The sun is shining and bright and the temperature has gone up to 8ยบ C, that is bearable. We had to skip our morning walk, we were waiting for a delivery, they told us between 8 am and noon, of course they arrived at 11:40, but we had to stay at home.

Good that the temperature has risen a bit. Must be a big relief! Oh! I hate that when people keep you waiting and don't turn on time. That can ruin all the plans.

This one is from Bengaluru. We discovered this a little far from our home in outskirts of the city. We drive there and then go for walk ir cycling on these trails. It's a refreshing break from time to time. We had a mix of offline and online classes during October, November, and December. But after the Christmas vacation, we are back to online classes only amidst the surge in cases. Let's see when things get settled. All is uncertain and unpredictable.

So nice path. Glad you enjoyed your walk & day. My day was good. Got everything except, free covid home test kits from my pharmacy - they were out. We can get 8 tests per month free from my heathcare plan.

@arunima25 Yes, but, it's new, so still trying to get it from pharmacy free test kits. I've put in my request for President Biden's home test kits mailing already. Indeed, the tests, free, so very high demand on it.

@oahuwriter Yes, there would be high demand. Getting tested at home would be convenient..Here they come home to take samples if you call them and the tests come to your mobile message. It's free for poor economic background when done from municipality. If you get it done from private labs, they charge you. Home test kits are available but they have not picked popularity

It used be a city of garden a decade back but now it's terrible, even worse than other metros. It's called a concrete jungle now This path is on outskirts of the city and a little far from where we live. We drive there and then we go for cycling or walking on these trails. It's a good break from the city life from time to time.

@Sojourn Yes, the weather is still good one though it has deteriorated over the years. We never used AC here but now these days many families have AC. Though that period to use AC is just for a week or two in April. In the last two years, nobody used AC as it was okay due to lockdown and less pollution.
