I have often felt that Daniel Craig, who has played the character of James Bond in the 007 movies for the past fifteen years, was not the best of choices for the role but I did grow to enjoy his portrayal in several of the films. Well, I just answered a poll online regarding who was the best James Bond him or Roger Moore. Roger is a lesser-known actor and he seemed to not be as popular as even Daniel. Daniel received about 40+% of the votes and Roger Moore received 50+%. So, that restores my faith in public opinion to some degree. Roger Moore was much better for the part of a sophisticated man-of-the-world.

Although for me Sean Connery will always be James Bond, I too, prefer Roger Moore to Daniel Craig.

Sean Connery was the only Bond actor I cared for.
I never went to see another Bond movie after he was replaced. I saw several movies on television but none of the actors measured up for me.
When I hear James Bond, I think Sean Connery.

I agree. I just thought it interesting that people liked Moore better than Craig.

@LadyDuck ........I agree. He just doesn't look like Bond material. Roger Moore is better for the role.

Is it weird that I was far less interested in Bond and much more interested in Ben Whishaw as Q, lol. Granted Ben is one of my favorite actors of all time ever so I'm a little biased (I've seen him on Broadway, what a powerhouse for such a small, unassuming man!). But yeah, I'll genuinely be more sad not to see him return than I will be about Daniel Craig's contract being over.

I loved Roger as The Saint. He was so pretty then.

Roger Moore's acting (as 007) is too contrived. Just my personal opinion.
