What does this Perth bridge remind you of?

I recently posted photos from a Perth, Western Australia, hotel window. In the distance can be seen a very striking bridge. Once referred to as the Swan River Pedestrian Bridge, it has been renamed ‘Matagarup Bridge’. ‘Matagarup’ is the name given to the area by the indigenous Nyungar people. The bridge opened to the public on 14 July 2018. From 7 to 9 July, hundreds of volunteers walked across the bridge so that engineers could assess the movement and tune the ‘mass damper’ to minimise vibrations. The maximum height of 72 metres (236 ft) is in the middle of the central span. Total length is 560 metres (1,840 ft). Individuals see the bridge structure according to their imagination. Some see two flying swans, a swimming dolphin, a Wagyl serpent (indigenous mythical creature) or a ribbon. There is 900 metres (3,000 ft) of LED lighting over the bridge. The colour of the lights can be changed to suit whatever is happening at the time. So the colours of the local football team may be displayed during grand final week. Modifications were put in place to allow the bridge to be climbed and there is also a zipline. It is certainly a very attractive bridge. Does the shape remind you of anything in particular?

It's very evocative - the bridge. It could be any number of things. I can see that you'd be reminded of swans.

@JudyEv Everyone sees what they think it looks like. It could be a swan too. To me it looks closer to a snake or roller coaster.

This bridge reminds me of a very wild roller coaster ride! Either that or the Golden Arches at McDonald's Restaurant:)

I was thinking of of huge sea serpents. After the experience of London's Millennium I guess a lot attention is going into vibration caused by walking

It seems almost unbelievable that people simply walking could cause such a catastrophe.

@Ronrybs I remember reading about telling soldiers to 'break step' or somesuch over certain bridges.

@JudyEv It seems there is a natural tendency to walk in step, especially once the bridge started swaying

@JudyEv Everyone looks at it as they see it and that is how I saw it and felt kind of dizzy looking at it. I do not like roller coasters.

This reminds me of many things . . . the Pyramids of Giza, rollercoaster, serpent/dragon's back (I wrote that before I read that paragraph). It's beautiful!
