Just A Routine Day

Happy Thursday Everyone! brrrr it's only 12 degrees F here this morning. I don't know if we're breaking any records for cold this winter but it just seems colder than I remember for winter. I'm busy getting a grocery order together to pick up early tomorrow. There's a few things we need just in case we get the snow storm they're predicating for Saturday. So far it's iffy about how much snow we'll get and it could be anywhere from just a tiny amount to a huge amount. Either way it's a nuisance. I just hope it's more than 3 inches so that the snow removal company has to come and shovel. The past few times we didn't get enough so either my daughter or my grandkids had to do the shoveling. I finally got all my yarn organized by color and into 6 large crates. Yes I have lots of yarn!! Now it's easy to find what I'm looking for when I start a new project. My daughter teases me and says I have more than Hobby Lobby I'm sure all that bending and lifting is what made my back hurt for almost two days. Now I'm feeling better. Dinner for tonight is pasta. I've been in the mood for spaghetti so finally we're having it tonight. Trying to be healthier so we switched to whole grain instead of ordinary spaghetti and got some on sale last week for $1 a box. Normally the whole grain is more expensive than the regular but for $1 you can't go wrong. I find the whole grain has a different taste and texture but I'm getting used to it. I think we have a few meatballs in the freezer to have with our spaghetti. Nothing much planned for today but I'm sure the day will fly by as fast as all the other days have. Are you doing anything fun today?

What are the weather people saying for your snow totals? I don't think we will get more than 2 inches here. The bulk of the snow is going to fall to the East of 95 and we are about 45 minutes to the west of it. I am thankful, I do not want another big snow.

Maybe 3 to 6 inches is what they're saying right now but it could change and we'll get more or less. At least we won't be getting the brunt of it. Looks like a bad storm for some people though

@Marilynda1225 Very good idea to be prepared. You never know what the weather will bring. That is great that you got your yarn organized. That is good that you have lots of yarn. So what do you want to make with all the yarn you have? I am glad you are feeling better. It sounds like you let your body rest and get back its strength again. Spaghetti sounds good. That is nice to add the meatballs. I think you did enough for the day. It is Friday here so I had to do chores to get ready for our Sabbath which starts later today.

I think the weather is going to be worse than expected with higher snow totals. At least we'll have enough food to get us through whatever the storm brings

It was -10°F here this morning. It’s crazy just how sore our backs can get after doing simple things that never would have bothered us before when we were younger. I hate spaghetti. I found a new way to use up the leftovers of it though which is garlic bread spaghetti grilled cheese. I’ve had the whole grain pasta and can’t stomach it it’s even worse then regular spaghetti . Awesome that you like it and found it on sale though! I’ve just been cleaning and taking care of the baby. I’m prepping things for twice baked potatoes for dinner.

Whole grain pasta really does have a totally different taste and I'm not particularly fond of it. I'll probably go back to the regular old stuff. I do live all sorts of pasta though

It's pretty cold here too, although it's supposed to warm up. Only time will tell what happens. I didn't do much today. Dropped off the kids at school, went to walmart quickly, relaxed when I got home, and now I'm just at work for the next few hours.

Well, if its going to snow anyway then why not get at least 5" right? That oughta force the powers that be to lend a helping hand shoveling. I was thinking of making spaghetti too, I love the stuff.

This area rarely gets snow and if it does it's usually only about an inch then melts before noon. I don't care for snow anymore.

Hoping we get enough for the snow removal people to come and do the back breaking work. From the predicted totals it certainly seems like we'll get enough
