I enjoy all animals, as long as they're friendly. I like cats very much, but my preference is a dog.

I like both. Cats are better in an apartment. They don't need to be walked and they don't make much noise. Dogs are great though.

I was always a cat person until my 20s then around 35 I started to like dogs more. After owning both and how smelly they can be and all the care that goes into them I’m not a cat or dog person. I love my little dog though but I’d pass on getting any more in the future. My husband said our home will never be dog free. His lab is currently in heat and I can’t wait until it’s over.

There comes a point when you are done with pets. I love these cats but when I am living alone, I want to be free to come and go as I please. I am an animal lover but I have reached that point in my life.

So cute and comfy there! I am actually a dog person, though I do like cats (I was allergic to cats growing up, and now my kids are too . . . so we've just never had cats around).

@akalinus Well, we don't right now . . . I grew up with dogs though. The kids seem to be allergic to fur period. So we have parakeets

@much2say Parakeets are interesting little characters. Sometimes you can teach them to talk. Do yours talk or do tricks?

I'm a fish person. I'm allergic to animals with fur/hair. Pretty loves cats and dogs but can't have them as long as she lives with me.

@akalinus My walking sharks acted just like puppies. They chased me around the room squeaking at me to pick them up and cuddle with them. They ate out of my hand and loved to be petted.

I'm an animal person too

My daughter got a cat a while back that is not very friendly. and thats a good thing since suddenly after many years of having lots of them I seem to have become allergic

We had both too and my kids always had animals. Home does not feel complete without a pet but a lot of people can't have them because of where they live or some other reason.

We have both and it would be hard to choose. Cats are so special in their own way, but the dogs are so much fun. Could not give up anything I have on purpose.
