Look at it snow! We got a little, but nothing like what the northeast is getting right now. I’m content to sit with a cup of hot tea and watch it on You Tube. I’m also content to give you another song with “kiss” in the title as we march on to Valentine’s Day. When I announced this I’m sure there are some songs that popped into your head immediately. This may be one of them.
Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye - Steam
What do Steam, the 1910 Fruitgum Company, the Archies, and the Ohio Express have in common? They really weren’t “bands.” We’re not talking Glenn Frey and Don Henley met in the Troubadour here. Steam, like so many of those other bands in the late 60s, was a group of studio musicians who decided to record their own song.
And, like the others mentioned, it got very popular, presenting a problem: there had to actually be a band to appear on American Bandstand and all these other places.
They didn’t last long, but this song is one of those ubiquitous sports songs (“na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!” is frequently played when opposing pitchers get knocked out of a game or a visiting player fouls out).
I just hope they didn’t play this at co-writer/lead singer Gary DeCarlo’s funeral.

We didn't get snow this go-round. We got icy rain and sleet. Just enough to cover the ground and make walking fun. (Pretty held my arm when we walked out to the car. She said she didn't want me to fall again but I think she was scared she'd fall.

That’s a good wife….making it look like she was scared for herself so as not to insult your masculinity. You should keep her.

@FourWalls Pretty's my daughter. And she was worried because I fell a couple of weeks ago and have a bone bruise on my right hip. The doctor said it will take months to heal. (I can't get rid of her. Nobody else will take her.

@DaddyEvil — ah, even a better daughter. Taking considerable care to make sure your ego isn’t like your hip!

I remember this well. There's going to be one day this coming week in which the temps will be warm enough to melt some of our 2 feet of s**w. I can hardly wait...but then it will go down into the teens again. I hate this weather.
