Update 1/30/22

It's been a while since I posted an update.
We got an additional 3-4 inches on top of our 2 feet of s**w over the last few days. Next week it will be above freezing for at least a day before it s**ws again on Thursday. I hope we get some melting.
I sat on the phone with a tax expert from the website that I use to do our taxes. He was extremely helpful going through everything I need to do to report the sale of our other house. Now I just need to pull out returns from the past 11 years or so and report total depreciation for that time. Fortunately I just shredded the backup but kept the returns.
Our housekeeper claims to have COVID-19 for the THIRD time. Either her family needs to get vaccinated or she doesn't want to clean.
Our standby generator is in; but they don't want to install it until April when the weather gets better. :-( I hope the power stays on until then. Knock on wood.
I hope all our east coast MyLotters are safe and warm after the big s**wstorm.
Today I plan on watching the two football games that will determine who will go to the Super Bowl.

We pay the housekeeper (my husband's second cousin); and she doesn't get paid unless she works.

@JudyEv Yes. Things and dust are piling up that need to be done. The weather is going to be too bad for her to come this week; so she won't be coming until February 9....plus her family had COVID-19; and I didn't want her to come over too soon!

It is not super cold here. I don't know how much snow we actually got but it wasn't too much. Since vaccinated people can still get covid, especially with Omicron being around, she could very well have covid again even though she is vaxxed.

I honestly doubt that the whole family got COVID-19 3 times. I think she doesn't want to clean for us anymore. Her real estate career has been keeping her busy.

Yeah, I have my doubts too. Supposedly they're all better. We are expecting another big storm on Thursday. This one unfortunately will have quite a bit of ice.
