January 30 - What I'm Thankful for Today

This is the day the LORD has made and I WILL REJOICE and be GLAD in it.
Yesterday, I looked up the symptoms of COVID. I'm hoping it's a simple cold because this winter has been on a roller coaster of temps from the deep freeze to the 30s and back down again. I can't say I'm sick because I don't feel sick. I don't have a fever, but I'm always cold. I am coughing and have a drippy nose. Also cold symptoms I'm more familiar with for this type of weather.
That said, I'm thankful I could join the service this morning and put in my usual interaction, albeit via Skype. I called my leader this morning and he advised it would be best to stay home. So, no hugs, but lots of interaction as we discussed the topic of success as seen by the world's definition and God's. I will say, God's definition of success is much better than the world's and more fulfilling.
I'm thankful I got the notifications finished twice today. I have a few notifications as I write this. I always enjoy seeing what you're doing in your part of the world. I'll finish those few notifications and get off the computer. I decided to take a computer break today. I'm not working on a manuscript today. Instead, I'm watching a movie and my shows.
I know I wanted to go to the Y tomorrow, but I think I'm going to isolate myself again and see which way this wind is blowing. It's good I have a good supply of Kleenex.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. It's the newest picture of Poiny, my poinsettia. She's doing very well. How many petals can you count?

It's been cold for a few weeks here. It's the longest spell we've seen in years. We've also had snow or freezing rain each of the last three Saturdays with more predicted for next Saturday.
Counting the leaves that haven't begun turning red, I count sixteen petals.
Hope you feel better soon.

I hope you just have a cold. I've had the same symptoms for weeks bit covid test came back negative. I can't shake the stuffy runny nose and I'm cold but I don't feel sick either. It's weird
Hope you had an enjoyable Sunday and not experiencing any more symptoms

I'm glad your test always came back negative.
My symptoms are multiplying. I'm hoping for nothing more than the typical flu.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully it is just a cold. With the weather being so cold that sounds possible. Hope you feel better soon and get good news it is just a cold.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you get to feeling better soon. It is best to stay in when you aren't feeling the best.
Glad that technology allowed you to interact with your church family this morning. I understand it isn't the same as being there but at least you still were able to participate with the others.
I'm thankful for having good health. So many are suffering. I never want to take my health for granted. Have a blessed evening.

It might be a simple cold, too. Never the less it's not a bad idea to stay home if you're suffering from a cold. Anything can be passed on to another person and under the right conditions, kill them. You can't possibly know. If you have the option to stay home, then that's best. That being said: Good luck, and get well soon.
I'm thankful for the warming trend we're on. Being back in short sleaves and shorts is nice. So, I broke out the long pants, but I'm good with that. I put them in to be washed. I'm thankful to live in Florida. We might have freezing cold nights once a winter, but the cold never lasts long.

I know it's best to stay home and inside. That's the plan for at least this week. I'm playing this week by ear and hoping it's only a cold.
I'm glad you're warming up again. We're having warmer temps too for the first half of this week. We're hitting 40 on Wednesday. It's going to feel like a heatwave around here.
