Happy Chinese New Year everyone.
Living in a city where the oldest China Town is locate sure has its perks and influences. Of course, I'm wary of travelling there and celebrating the Chinese New Year so I decided to just celebrate on my own.
I read that there are certain foods that you can eat during the celebration to usher in good luck in the new year. These foods are fish, grains, noodles, fruits, vegetables, cake, and sticky rice.
So decided to have just that. I ordered cake and sticky rice in the mall and got sweet and sour fish plus wanton noodle soup from a local Chinese fast food. It was a great meal and I certainly was happy and full after eating it.
Did you celebrate Chinese New Year? How?

Nah, they not my favorite country but they do make great food. They do not believe in democracy and all that but heard most people very nice my point not to sound like a jerk. That being said their fortune cookies also cool what does mine say. Jerkish ways will lead to jerkish things.

@crossbones27 haven't really followed the Winter Olympics. Saw online that China hosted the summer and winter Olympics and is the first country to do so.
Philippines hosting the Olympics is a dream but it will take a long time before that happens. Our economy simply cannot support the financial obligation of holding such an event.

@allen0187 I bet, I heard they did something controversial in the opening Olympic ceremonies to. I would like to know why they seem to get every other Olympics. I may be exaggerating but they seem to host more Olympics than all other countries. How about holding one in Philippines if we trying to make a equal playing field countries that just need a bit of help and once they get it they will thrive.

@allen0187 - I made at home, I never order food. I made Chinese orange chicken, steamed rice and egg tarts for dessert.
