Eating it anyway, hope I'm not sorry

Today I am so hungry because I have had to try and not eat because of running to the bathroom Last night Clays mom ( who lives alone) brought over a pot of rice, with black-eyed peas, yellow and orange peppers, and ground turkey added. (in the photo there) Some being left over today, I told daughter I'd try it. The woman is an excellent cook and usually makes extra just so we can have some. It was delicious of course. I just pray it doesn't make me run again. Do you sometimes eat something you know you might be sorry for cause you love it so much?

Oh yes. I know I will pay for it if I eat too much dairy, instant foods, and highly processed foods with salt/MSG. Oh and spice too (I used to love things super hot, but my tummy can't handle it anymore).

It's probably cheese that's my problem. In this house we all love it but I have started to tell daughter I can't handle it any more. Hopefully I can avoid it for a while and see if that's the problem.

@much2say Funny thing, last nights dinner didn't bother me at all but this mornings breakfast with egg and grits did. Go figure?

@bunnybon7 I think we all have a limit to the tolerance. We love cheese here too, but too much of it makes my tummy do funny things. But some things just taste too darn good and we can't help but gobble it up .

I make black eye peas and rice quite often. I would add chopped carrots, onions ,thyme and coconut milk. It is one of my favorite vegetarian dishes - and sometimes l am tempted to eat more than l should.

that could be my problem. Eating too much. Doctor once told me I am better off eating just a little at a time and have several small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. But sometimes when it tastes really good, I forget and over do it.

When I was young I too had an "iron stomach" could eat most anything I wanted. I miss those days.

It does look delicious. I hope that it didn't have a bad effect on you again. I find that with turkey it doesn't reheat well, unless you like visiting Mr John frequently. Hopefully that wasn't the case this time around.

no, it went quite well. Luckily I didn't have to visit the John because that has been my problem last few days.

Yes, I do. If I'm running to the bathroom, I try to stop eating for some hours so the bugs have nothing to feed on but you do get awfully hungry.

@JudyEv yes it seems most everything I take has a side effect on something else.

Yes, I eat a ton of nuts which I love; but they don't love me. I've had to cut them out.
