Due to impending winter weather, our school district is shut down for tomorrow.
The aquatics center is shut down as well.
Also due to impending winter weather, we went to see my sister early in the day, and pick up a library book for Bob.I am still on sick leave, and will be tomorrow as well.
We wanted to be warm and cozy by the time it blew in, and we are.
Bob is napping.
I napped a while, then took a hot shower and washed my hair so that it would be dry by bedtime.
Due to impending winter weather I am glad we have all we need here at home.
I understand this storm front is very widespread. I hope you all are safe from all of this impending winter weather.

@GardenGerty I know I did. I also hated it, because it decided to be evil and drop 20 degrees the following day. It was supposed to warm up today, but so far that hasn't happened.

We are still getting conflicting reports on what our area will get. Right now they are saying mostly snow after a short stretch of freezing rain.

@GardenGerty We did get about 8 inches of snow from that storm. Now waiting for it to melt.

@GardenGerty It was not as bad as the weatherman said it would be.I thought it was going to be freezing rain, but it was just sleet.

I think I'm safe from it but I did see that it's supposed to get really cold here on Thursday and Friday. Of course, cold to me is probably comfy to you

I got better quickly. I am sure you are right in your observations relating to comfort levels. It was still bitterly cold Friday but we had school. This week is warming up.

I see a lot of this lately..all shut down because of the weather.
Why in my day, back in the day, we walked miles to school in the snow that was much taller than me.

It was not the snow that was the underlying issue but the ice that was on the ground first and wind disturbing power sources to heat the school. No, we never had snow days and my children seldom did.

I'm glad you're prepared for the storm.
In this area, for the first weekend in a month, are not looking for much in the way of winter weather. It is supposed to be 70F on Friday with rain with temps dropping by Sunday morning and a slight possibility of a smidgeon of snow early Sunday morning.
