Tonight, the missus is off with her Corgi puppy to training class. This means that Ace and I are home alone until she gets back around 8:30.
Not much time to do much at all, really. Watch a little TV, maybe play a video game. Probably should be working on my writing. My missus would like it if I got started on our taxes.
I hate doing taxes. I did them for years as a CPA and never liked it. Now, the only taxes I do are mine. And I still hate doing them.
I am watching another episode of Britannia right now. Later, I may play my video game. The chances of me getting any taxes done are low.

The good news is it took me about 20 minutes to get my taxes done.
The bad news is that I owed $24.

@DWDavis — my taxes were simple until I bought my house. Now that it’s paid off, they’re simple again.

You know if you knocked them out the moment tax seasons opens, it's done, you get your return, and everything's good to go.

I hate doing taxes. When I was still married, the ex did them until we had to go to long form. He knew how, he had a master's in finance and was perfectly capable. When he did taxes he turned in to a monster. He yelled and screamed and cursed at receipts, us, anyone within earshot. The last time I was around when he did taxes, I took the kids and went away for the weekend. It was a lot more peaceful. When we came home, he had taken all the tax stuff to a tax guy and said he was done doing them. I think taxes takes a special kind of patience that many people just don't have.
