15 Bean Soup in Slow Cooker

Dinner is cooking in the slow cooker. A bag of 15 bean soup, with seasoning meat added is slowly cooking. According to the package, it contains 15 of these bean varieties: northern, pinto, large lima, yelloweye, garbanzo, baby lima, green split, kidney, cranberry, small white, pink, small red, yellow split, lentil, navy, white kidney, black bean. I will make cornbread later to go with it. Smells so good. I usually add a few diced tomatoes about 30 minutes before it is done. Freezing at 19 degrees earlier this morning and only in the 40s for the high. A good day for this bean soup. Enjoy your day.

I am not at all familiar with all of the beans mentioned here. It looks like a delicious soup, perfect for a cold winter's day. I am not sure what we are having here tonight yet.

I used to use that soup mix as the basis of my parrot's fresh food mix. I'd add brown rice, frozen greens like collards, frozen mixed vegetables, frozen butternut squash, etc.

I love my crockpot--made a great meal--see my post later today--while doing a lot of other things! I did get an air fryer---don't like it at all--might give it to someone as a 'gift'!

I do as well. Works great. Many do not like the air fryers. Never tried one.

It doesn’t seem to me that 15 beans will make very much soup.

I’ve used some of those “soup starter” kits in the crock pot in the past. Tasted yummy to me! Hope it’s delicious for you!
