Having Lunch With My Sister!!

My sister and I haven’t had a lot of time to spend with each other lately. Before the pandemic we would go shopping at least once a week together. Or we’d have lunch together. Sometimes we have a little miss with us too.
I have picked her up from work and brought her home on occasion. And we talk each other’s ear off in that 45 minute drive. I miss her company so much.
Tonight she asked me if I was busy tomorrow. I told her I hadn’t anything planned. She then asked me if I would like to go to lunch with her. No lunch for us is usually picking up something and going to her house to enjoy the meal together. So we are going to our favorite Lil store to pick up either a salad or a sandwich.
We will then go back to her home and have lunch together and have enjoyable conversation. Of course it won’t be long enough for either of us because I have to pick Little Miss up from school at 2:30. And she has an afternoon commitment as well.
It will be nice just to spend a little bit of time with her.

That is why I jump to the chance to pick her up from work. It is a 45 minute drive from home and 30 minutes from her work to her house. We talk a mile a minute!

Adulting is hard but must be done. We understand that even though we want to see each other that it isn’t always possible. We treasure the moments when we can get together.
