Do you have twins in the family?

I saw this documentary about people having twins in their family. One mother said that when she was pregnant she was craving for twin bananas (photo above). Kinda funny but people believe in anything. And then today, I was checking the bananas we brought from my mother’s hometown and they’re already ripe and yellow in color. I got one and lo and behold, it was a twin banana! Am I going to have twins if I eat them?

Nope! Finding foods that have twins certainly doesn’t mean you’d have twins. Yes in some families twins do run. Twins can happen in different forms. My middle son is a twin although I lost his twin in early pregnancy which my body bleed out some and he probably did eat some of his twin up. It happens so he could be two people in one.

@sol_cee lol statics say that yes if I didn’t bleed the twin out or by body didn’t absorb it then he did. This is very common with twin when one stops developing and in a lot of pregnancy most women don’t know they had multiple babies the only reason why we knew was i had spotted early took a test went in for blood work. They said I need some help with my hormones which they gave me pills for. But I started bleeding heavy for 9 days and they had be retest by blood labs. My numbers toppled off so they did and ultrasound. It confirmed misscarriage. A week later I had a cyst burst which caused a lot of pain but the ER I had a male doctor and male nurse so they never ran my blood but did and ultrasound to look at my overy and saw the cyst and said for me to take it easy and the pain would go away. Went in for a fallow up to the misscarriage at this point I was roughly 2 weeks with my 9 year but not far enough alone for him to be see which mean I was still pregnant with his twin I would have been 10 weeks. I took another 2 weeks after that because I kept saying something felt off and I couldn’t figure it out why I didn’t feel right I still felt pregnant because I had baby 11 months ago so I knew what it felt like. Finally I took a home test it was very positive it came the quickest I’ve ever seen. Called the doctor went in did my labs. They called back with in a few Hirt hours saying my blood level was to high for a new pregnancy. They said I need to wait 4 weeks. When I finally went in I was throwing up all of the time. I couldn’t even pee in a cup. I had two doctors confirm double pregnancy which means I had two different eggs release not far apart which is why on the other ultrasound they couldn’t see him and by the time I went they where shocked I was 10-12 weeks back 6-8 weeks. When your pregnant with more then one baby your blood doubles a lot more then it would with a single baby.

My cousin had a twin brother, the boyfriend of my niece has a twin sister. Of course craving (or eating) twin food does not make you pregnant of twins.

Haha yes be prepared to have twins then. I think that is kind of funny but that joke has been around for some time already. But so far it is not considered like it is a belief/superstition but has become more of a joke around already. I have eaten a lot of bananas like that and my wife too but we never had twins.

@sol_cee Yes I do not think that the fruit has anything to do with the fertility of the one eating it.

Haha surprisingly, in my family, older people tell us not to eat twining fruits or vegetables. When asked why, no one told me ever why. I guess the reason is what you told us. Btw, which country's documentary was it?

I used to hear that, that I will have twins because I am fond of eating twin bananas. I remember when I was reviewing in Manila. There's this small store beside our apartment and when I pass by, I try to look at their bananas and if they have twins, I will buy it... I can have two bananas for the price of one... Hihihihihi
