My Wife Won $10 at the Laundromat

Generally speaking, we don't use laundromats since we have a washer and dryer at home. But a lot of the time the wifey will take the comforters there to be washed since the washers are a bit bigger and more accommodating to that size load. The funny thing is that nowadays slot machines are pretty much everywhere. From local bars, to gas stations, and yes, even at the laundromat. While she was waiting for her laundry to finish she stuck a couple of bucks into the machine and walked away with $10. I hope the police don't come knocking accusing her of money laundering. lol

My sister literally lives next to a laundromat. Her backyard always smells Downy-fresh. I often bring my comforters and quilts there to wash them while I'm hanging out with my sister and the kids.

@NJChicaa Not sure what my wife spent. I gave her $30 worth of quarters (all gathered from Aldi shopping carts), and believe it or not I have not counted what she brought back yet.

I wonder if we should try to go out like Bonnie and Clyde? Although, it did not work out well for them. lol

I take quilts and comforters to the laundromat too and for the same reason as you. I once found three twenties in a dryer. I stuffed them in a pocket. A half hour later, a frantic woman came in looking for money she lost while washing clothes. She was happy when I pulled her money out of my pocket.

@porwest She was frantic. Once I knew it was hers, I HAD to do the right thing.

You are far kinder than I. I would have just told her, "What a shame," and then went to buy a new pair of shoes. lol

Ha ha, love your last comment. You have quite the sense of humor! I actually enjoy doing laundry at landromats. We have a washer and dryer at home but when I was helping take care of my mom in another state, her washer broke so I spent some time at a local laundromat. It was peaceful and I brought a book to read. The laundromats in CT didn't have slot machines though. I am actually glad about that.
