A sad story comes to an end

There has been a sad story playing out in Australia and it has now come to an even sadder end.
In January, an 80-year-old man, Terry Gibbs, kidnapped his partner of 15 years from a nursing home in Western Australia and drove thousands of kilometres in an attempt to get her back to Queensland. When found 90 kilometres from the Northern Territory border, the pair were in rough country and almost out of fuel.
The woman, Carol Lisle, had dementia and Parkinson’s disease. She was air-lifted back to a WA hospital and her companion was later given a suspended sentence. Now Carol has died and just two days after her death, Terry has been killed in a car accident.
Hopefully, they are together now in the hereafter and their troubles are over.

@FayeHazel That's very true. The poor old guy just wanted to be with her - at home.

@JudyEv Sounds like neither one was in too good state of mind toward the end there, pity

I would say that is fate and it brought them together and probably they are walking hand in hand beyond the clouds and all their problems are far behind them,

@JudyEv A childhood friend posted on FB today that her stepsister passed on. I knew her and she was a very nice lady. Anyway, her husband recently passed on and suffered from Alzheimer's and now she has gone to be with him and they too have no more problems and are together,

He showed his loyalty to her, as unwise as his choices were. I hope they are at peace.

Exactly. Unwise choices but they just wanted to be together.

Sorry to learn about the couple dying two days apart. At least they are in a better place.

@JudyEv That is true since persons that pass away die to broken hearts.

Terry wanted her to be well again, which couldn't happen. Now, they are both gone, what a tragic ending for both of them

@JudyEv And I feel the same about my parents. She was miserable and Mom wanted to be in heaven, with Russell(my father).

What a sad story...but one part of me feels that the suffering and distress that caused the whole episode is over now and they are both at peace.

I think so too. No more worrying or being apart for either of them.

hope God have them together now.
