February 24 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a wonderful day. The weatherman said we wouldn't get snow until tonight. I'm thankful he was wrong. It started snowing early and continued through most of the afternoon. The next round of snow will start soon and last through the night. It's a weather-alert night here. I'm thankful I went shopping when I did. With a list in hand, which I seldom use and didn't when I got there, I got everything I needed from the list to start the new diet. There's still a lot more to buy, but it's a good start. My fridge is FULL. I have fruit sitting on the counter because I don't have room for it in the fridge. I mainly hit the produce and fruits and a few other things I was running low on. I'm thankful that when I went shopping the roads weren't too bad. A little slick in some spots, but taking it slow I did okay. I'm also thankful traffic was light. I'm especially thankful for the phone call from my daughter. We've had a breakthrough. We talked for an hour and a half. Before now, it was only a couple of minutes. She gave me all her news. I gave her all of mine. It was wonderful! I'm thankful I'm finished with the notifications. It was great visiting with you too. I'm here a lot later than usual. Okay, that's my day. Time for me to get off, watch my shows and get to bed. Tomorrow is laundry day. My son's girlfriend will pick me up. They don't want me driving on these roads even if they are decent. So, that's nice. It will be in the afternoon. So, I'll be here in the morning. One of these days, I need to find time to write again. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading.
