Goodbye Elton John

My Elton John concert is tomorrow.
Of course I can’t go because of the vaccine mandate.
I am majorly bummed about it and upset too, especially since it seems that the vaccine mandate will be lifted starting March 7th.
Why couldn’t it be lifted already or on March 1st, so I can attend the concert?
This is so unfair.
I really wanted to see him in concert and now it won’t happen.
And since this is his farewell tour I won’t ever get to see him in concert again.
Not to mention that I wasted $95 on the ticket that I won’t get back.

I would still pursue the refund. It's a shame that the mandate will be lifted March 7. I would hate to miss an Elton John concert.

Maybe I will try and see if I can email Ticketmaster about the refund. But I am still super bummed I won't get to see him in concert.

@LindaOHio I wonder how many people couldn't go because of this mandate. And I wonder if any used fake cards to get in.

@lovebuglena above all else of course. That's why you paid that much.

@toniganzon Good thing I didn't get more expensive tickets.

I am more bummed about not being able to go than about losing that $95.

@lovebuglena Well, to me, it never should have been in the first place.

@RebeccasFarm The mandate should've never existed for sure. It was a way for them to force people to get jabbed. Like you wanna see a movie? You wanna go to Broadway shows? You wanna eat out? Get jabbed or stay home.

Yes, and I didn't even try to get a refund. I should have, even though I felt deep down they wouldn't give it to me. And I didn't want to go the fake proof route to attend the concert. That's not me. And what's even more upsetting is that the mandate is no more starting March 7th. Less than a week from the date of the concert. Why couldn't it start March 1st or before that?

Did you ever visit that link to the class action against Ticketmaster?

My guess is that Ticketmaster will eventually be forced to refund tickets for concerts with rescheduled dates.
I would join that class action suit. It costs you nothing to join.

I could’ve attempted to contact Ticketmaster for a refund but I didn’t because I was hoping the mandate would be lifted in time for my concert. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

Maybe. Won't change the fact that I won't get to go to the concert though.

@CarolDM I don't think he is coming to NYC again as this is his farewell tour.

That's a shame. For a second there, I thought you were going to say that we lost another good one.

I could've tried selling the ticket but I was hoping the vaccine mandate would be lifted by the time my concert came around and I'd be able to go. Isn't the case. It's gonna be lifted March 7th. And that doesn't help me.

True, however, I wasn’t going to get jabbed, just to attend a concert.

It's the same way lasting for many years lol. And the pandemic, which shut down concerts and tours, made it even longer.
