Reading comments on Facebook is so stressful, especially those coming from people spreading lies. Some even resort to historical revisionism which is such a big crime. It is good Youtube and other social media sites try to weed out questionable accounts .It is such a big help so people will be fed truthful news, etc. I felt like a keyboard warrior when I encounter such fake news, .perpetrated by trolls who make money spreading lies.

What's really damaging is the people that are spreading fake news believing it's true. You can even show some of them actual evidence that disproves the news but they still believe the fake news. I had it happen here.

@acelawrites MyLot is the only SM site I use. I deleted all the others and the fake news even comes here to this forum. It's inescapable. It isn't only people, it's MSM behind it all.

@acelawrites We have all been betrayed by the media. Credibility has been lost and there is no one that reports news. They read stories. Journalists have become writers.

@acelawrites It is too easy to spread fake news on the web, a lot easier than through the printed newspapers.

@LadyDuck yes, because one could always go back to the printed news so one could check its veracity.

There's a reason I stay away from Fakebook... It seems like nothing is real there. I get tired of arguing with people who won't believe the truth even when you can show them scientific evidence of the truth.

Agree; just makes us mad knowing they spread lies and won't accept any explanation.

So sad it proliferates when readers just share the fake info without verifying it.

I used to have joined in a FB group that hunts down fake accounts of trolls but I just got too tired of chasing them away because they are just too many and they create multiple accounts that after one account is reported and successfully removed by FB other accounts would spring up somewhere. Now I barely open my FB account anymore and just focus on reliable news I can get from this site. It is also futile to rebut them since they really like engagements since that is where they usually get paid when they have large crowds gathering for them.

Some people seem to thrive on fake news while others believe anything they read. They don't bother to think things through.

It is the saddest thing.Even people whom you know are educated enough were also duped by fake news.
