Last Night's Dinner (Friday)

Since I stuck my finger in my eye by accident yesterday and was in a bit of pain from that incident all day until around 10 pm last night, my hubby got to fix dinner. I had planned on tacos so that was easy enough. I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle peeling and chopping up an onion to go into the meat.
I did dice up a tomato and shred some lettuce for toppings. I had soft shell tortillas so we had soft shelled tacos. They turned out very good and we both enjoyed them.
I had some single packets of sour cream left from Home Chef meals from last week so I added some to my tacos. The hubster doesn't care for sour cream so I got that all to myself.

After the tropical themed tacos we had with the Home Chef meal, my hubby was wanting the "real" thing. He did not care for the mango topping at all. I did miss my lettuce as there was no lettuce for topping the tacos with either. So we were both happy to have our more traditional tacos tonight! I liked the other tacos for a change, but would not want to eat them all the time like that.

I'll have to remember to "accidentally" poke my eye. Maybe then Pretty will feel sorry for me and make something for dinner that I like. 
Pretty never cuts up onions at our house. If we need onion for something, I'm the one who cuts them up.
I steamed some broccoli and carrots and scrambled some eggs to go with the veggies. They were good together.

@kareng You aren't supposed to rub your eyes if you think something is in them. You're supposed to pull the upper eyelid over the lower one and see it that removes whatever was in it.

Sorry about your eye. How is it today? I also love tacos and have not had them in a long time. On my birthday I would sometimes go to this Mexican restaurant and get them but they closed a long time ago and someone told me of a new place but have not tried it and then corona came along and so have not tried it even for take-out.

Since I was snacking at the winery I wrote about earlier, I just had a chicken drumstick letover from my Greek chicken and potatoes dinner and a couple of potato wedges from said dinner.

@kareng We eat at Taco Bell sometimes since Dale can't eat regular buns or bread at other fast food places.

Your tacos sound so delicious, we love them! I don't like sour cream either:( We had pizza subs last evening, ordered out. Jay got BQchicken in his, mine had mushrooms, purple onions and green pepper. I hope your eye is doing better today!

Glad your eye is better. We had Meals on Wheels - Vegetable lasagna, spinach, mixed veggies, cranberry juice and mini vanilla wafer cookies.
