Are Russians coming to visit?

There has been a war in the area for a few days and I see that they have no plans to stop. I was surprised to see that in Romania, too, former soldiers who are now in reserve, including me, have started to check. I was recently, close to the customs with Ukraine, it's a disaster what's there. Too bad for those people who are put on the road. Should we expect a visit soon and here? Would he have the courage to fight with everyone?

I was thinking to you the past days. Here in Europe we are all very concerned. We have been asked to keep food to cover at least 5 days and our shelters ready. I know, better be prepared, but this is stressful.

As far as I know, the Swiss are always prepared. The men have a rifle at home, haven't they?

Good that you have your own shelters.

@MALUSE Most Swiss men have a rifle at home because all Swiss men are obliged to serve in the army and they keep their rifle. We do not have one of course, as we are not Swiss. I have enough to cover the 5 days as required in our shelter. I wonder why the authorities decided to inspect all the shelters last year. We had our inspection the past November.

Don't know what's going to happen. It depends on NATO now reacts to this, Putin already has warned that Ukraine will have a bad future and western countries will also bear the results if they support Ukraine. Romania is close to Ukraine will have to bear the anger of Putin first than any other European country.

That is very worrying if you are being asked to prepare to fight. Or even if you think you will be.

We've already been notified. Men between 18 and 60 years old must be prepared!

No one should be a slave to an ideology in modern times. After all, these are used to subdue free will. Hope all will be well and no unwelcome visitors.

It's like the entire world is involved, with this war started by Russia.

I wouldn't call it "courage." Courage is 'what it took for a Ukrainian soldier to sacrifice himself on a bridge.' 'What Putin is manifesting' is ... I'm not sure of the word---"insolence?" Immature poutiness? Pathological? That last describer is inspired by the somewhat unexpected decision to invade.

The term 'visit' in the title of your post is a bit puzzling. I think the term 'invade' would be more appropriate. The Romanians may be courageous, yet, I don't think that your army has a chance against the Russian army. That would be David against Goliath, wouldn't it?
