Home Alone

During the daytime, I was so alone at home today. I am saying it literally because my younger brother and his family attended the christening of a baby. They were asking me to come, but I refused. For the reason that I do not want to be left out there and am not familiar with his wife's relatives. Either way, I will feel lonely at home and that party.
The bottom line is that I suddenly missed my lovely mom. If I am in this situation, I usually talk and be with her before.
When do you feel lonely in your life?

I feel lonely when I have no one to talk to. I love talking, and when there's no one I can to talk to, I feel lonely.

@happylearner This is what I feel right now. It is a sad thing that life is too short for her to live here on Earth.

I'm sorry you feel that way.
As long as I have a book to read, I don't feel lonely. The characters in the book keep me company while I'm reading.

Many years ago, I had a year and a half of married life. During that year and a half, I was lonely all the time.

@zhangxueying Oh, I see. I am sure it was the toughest thing that happened to you, right?

I feel lonely, whenever I feel not so close to God.
Loneliness comes from a feeling of loss of something that you think was taking the loneliness from you, so now you think that you feel lonely, as a result of that taking away.
When we lose our mother, we will feel such loneliness, as I still do too.
There is never a loss that God is not still beside you still too, especially, even at that time, so we should endeavour to be with God, at all times, and give our loneliness to him.

@innertalks I can relate to you. Honestly, I lost my confidant and a best friend in the family. It is only here that I can vent out things now.

@Shavkat Yes, l tend to vent my thoughts here too, in a way that l can not vent with my brothers, who just do not understand who l really am, and in some ways, l do not really want them to either.
My Mum used to just listen, or share herself in a less combative form. She always came from love, whereas they come more often from one-upmanship.
