Good day to you all.
This might be a daily thing for a while, but the gas prices jumped up again today. Another 10 cents somewhere between 4am when I went by this morning and 215pm when I came home. Now I seen a little bit of Biden’s special speech today and I heard him tell gas and oil companies not to take advantage of this to make a profit and to give the American people a break well I guess at least the companies I went by did not get that message.
In one day, on the day he talks about not getting gas or oil from Russia they jack up the price by 10 cents. Seems very coincidental if you ask me. So, the cheap price is now 3.99 a gallon here. I know some of you are already over the $4 mark. I see some prices in Los Angeles, California over $6 a gallon, that is just crazy.
I just got some groceries and they cost me about $25 more than they did last week, and I bought pretty much the same thing. The cost of everything is really getting out of hand. Times are going to get really tough on people, especially those that live paycheck to paycheck or that are on a limited income.
Best of luck to you all.

Yeah, I feel horrible for those who are getting affected the hardest…the ones on fixed incomes or who are living paycheck to paycheck. I’m not rich by any means, but this has been more of an aggravating inconvenience more than anything for me. But if I’m not careful it could drive me to the poorhouse!

@Bensen32 Me too. Except that I’ve got a couple of trips coming up. But we’ll drive my girlfriends car since it gets such good gas mileage compared to my truck.

@moffittjc Good idea. Yeah, I will be limiting mine as much as I can. Somethings just can't be avoided.

I would presume that the oil companies probably gave the finger to Biden and said, "You are blaming US for high prices at the pump? What about that pen you used to sign the executive orders reversing Trump's energy policy within hours of taking the oath of office? Think that may have something to do with rising gas prices?"
Russia-Ukraine notwithstanding of course.
As for prices here, yesterday the Casey's by my office was $4.19. This morning it was $4.49. So, here it jumped 40 cents per gallon overnight.
It will be $6 before you know it. Mark my words. I don't see how we avoid it, really.

Yeah, he totally screwed us on that one.
Well I think and I'm no expert but open our pipelines again and that should help with the prices. Of course that means admitting that Trump was right so that wont happen.
Oh I can see $6 by end of summer here.

No kidding. I sent my husband to the store for a few things, and he spent 30 dollars. two thirds of which were the surge protectors I'd asked for. I asked for one, he buys two. Fine. But he bought two frozen dinners and six bags of chips. everything cost 30 bucks. And, the chips were expencive.
It amazes me when prices jump so drasticly and how we can now spend 60 (on groceries( without trying.
