The Life Of My Cats

Brendel and the Dude were enjoying the sunshine coming through the patio door a couple of days ago. Nice to see them laying side by side all stretched out.
We are back to cooler weather and no sunshine this weekend. But the sun will return soon.
Now they are both back on their beds, the Dude snoring and Brendel sleeping with her heating pad. Waiting on spring to arrive.
They have a tough life. I am so glad I rescued them both from the shelters. They bring joy and happiness every day. Even when they wake me up.
Photo is mine.

My daughter's dog was rescued from a shelter as well. And is now living the good life. Spoiled rotten is he. Glad your cats are enjoying the good life as well.

@CarolDM Still undecided if the dog is "working out." He has severe anxiety and goes nuts whenever he's left alone by himself or whenever it rains/storms. He's on medication, but it only helps mildly. We also had a special "anxiety" crate custom-made for him (it cost a thousand dollars) that we put him in whenever we're not home or when it's raining. It's like a weighted blanket, but bigger. lol. My daughter has also hired a dog sitter to come spend time with him during the day when we're at work. I love the little guy, but he is very expensive to maintain and very much a pain in the butt.

@moffittjc Oh wow, you are really going all out to help him. I hope in time he will settle down. You are doing all the right things.

May be I did not see your older discussions.
So I wasn't aware that you had rescued them from shelters.
Well I hope that they get the sunshine back in a few days.
I was outside for a good time on Saturday and well, it is getting hotter as well as a bit more humid.

They found a wonderful owner.
People have started to adopt cats and dogs in India too but the salary to costs incurred on pets is quite unfavorable in India.
And the ecosystem is also not as conducive.
So those who keep pets have to do a high level of exertion especially with regards to medical care.

Here, one needs to have strong finances to have pets.
One can adopt strays but even that means costs for caring, food and the most expensive - Veterinary fees and medical care.

They look so cute together like that.
One day as I was holding Harper, we watched as Ellie laid on her bed across the room, soon after she got up, looked out the patio door, and then wandered over to lie down under the kitchen table. I explained to my sweet little granddaughter, that pets, have a very pampered and easy life. One that neither she nor myself will know of.

cute photo. We had some sun for a few days. My cats have loved it. But tomorrow it's supposed to rain again.

They look so relaxed. I bet when you rescued them you had no idea how much you would be blessed in return.
