The new week dawns rather chilly here in the land of the horse race. Yes, things are starting to gear up for the Kentucky Derby. It’s less than four weeks away from Thunder Over Louisville, the kickoff to the Kentucky Derby Festival. I’ll need help getting out of town for all of that. Speaking of help, how about another song with “help” in the title? I guess most people expected this one to show up, too.

And @JudyEv is cheering, “It’s about time you put an Aussie band in your countdown!!!!” 
Yep, one of Australia’s most successful bands worldwide, the Little River Band rose to prominence with this tune. They took their name from an exit sign they saw pointing toward Little River, Victoria. After a string of hits their popularity faded. There’s still a “Little River Band” today; however, none of the members of the current line-up were in the band during its heyday.
And what a heyday they had, beginning with this song!
Trivia: the name of the album this song comes from refers to a drink. A Diamantina cocktail is rum, condensed milk, and an emu egg.

I do remember this and saw them I believe it was somewhere in London years ago with the Who.

Fun fact: The future wife of one of the band members, I think the guitarist, taught at the same high school I did for a few years.

And I believe Midnight Oil have just done (or are in the middle of) their last tour although they are not ruling out appearances for charity.@FourWalls (86855)

I’m sorry to see Midnight Oil is retiring, but they deserve it. They didn’t get a lot of airplay here in America, but everything I’ve heard of theirs I like. (And I did use “Beds Are Burning” in my new bed countdown!
