Baked Cake For Neighbor

Baked a cake for my neighbor. His favorite. A yellow cake with cream cheese frosting and nuts. I called his daughter earlier and she said he was having a down day.
Took the cake over to him just now and his face greeted me with a smile. So happy to see him smile. I know things are difficult after losing his dog, and the anniversary of losing his wife comes up in April.
I know a cake can only help so much. But if it makes him smile, it was all worh it. Kindness costs nothing.
This was also one of Dustin's favorite cakes as well.

Every little thing given helps them Carol and the fact that it is Dustin's favorite, well I bet you had fun making it.
