A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It actually has been a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I walked along the creek enjoying all the green leaves popping out everywhere.The sky was bright and blue. One squirrel stopped and looked me right in the eye and I could almost see a smile. Crows were gathered in the fall trees cawing to each other. There was a little nip in the air and the creek was up due to a couple of showers yesterday. Someone was sitting on a rock in the middle of the creek. He was quietly taking it all in so I walked on by not wanting to disturb him. My deck was completely covered with pollen this morning. I mopped the floor and washed the chairs, but everything will be covered with pollen again in the morning maybe not as thick since I cleaned it up today. It will last three to four weeks. I hope not that long. Is everything covered with pollen at your house?

I love your green trees! Still waiting for ours here to have the little buds burst open. We do get a bit of pollen, but had lots of trees removed from around the house. Hope that lessens it.

Removing trees should reduce the pollen.

@CarolDM Then bees must really be enjoying my deck right now. Guess we shouldn’t complain too much about pollen, without bees and pollen we would all be hungry.

Yes the van has had a coating of yellow pollen since the trees and flowers are blooming.

We still have frozen ground and mounds of snow in Michigan. Usually about April 15th, we start seeing little green buds on the trees and tiny plants popping through the soil.

Yes, You live in a colder climate so you would be later than Georgia. I know you’re looking forward to spring.

We have a nursery right next door to us. When all the trees bloom at once, there is a ton of pollen in the air. I don't have allergies; but my husband does.

Pollen comes from buds of leaves. It’s a yellow dust that sticks to everything.

Our high today was 36F. It's 30F outside with a mix of sleet and snow falling. Our low tonight is supposed to reach 28F with a wind-chill of 16F. We saw some of the spinach sprouting in a pot on the front porch yesterday. I know there's pollen out there because I'm having allergic reactions to it but we can't see ir right now.

Haven't been out to see anything just stepped out on my front porch to see the world and then back to my laptop, The first month or so when spring comes I feel kind of tired so I have to get myself together,

Sounds like a great day there and a nice walk!! Yes, my car is covered and my husband's truck. We will have to wash them this weekend.
