April Arrived With Sunshine

Blue skies and sunshine all day today on this 1st day of April. Freezing this morning in the 30s, and only 50s for the high. But a beautiful day to enjoy. Walked around the neighborhood. Not much going on. A few lawnmowers were busy. Many are picking up debris in their yard from the wind. Should be a nice weekend. I hope you all have a good day. Photo is mine. Looked up and snapped the sky photo.

That sounds like a pleasant weather. Near a max of 40 C here and the AC is now regularly running. The Service Man arrived yesterday. He has also adviced an additional anti rusting coating on the inner coiling but I would get it done later. So are the birds coming regularly? Say Hi to Brendel and Dude.

Yes it has been nice. I enjoy the cool. Glad the AC issue is resolved. The birds are here every day now. Many are looking for nesting places. I will do that, the cats are both slieeping beside me.

Enjoy a beautiful Friday and weekend! It's a warm, sunny day here. More people here seem to be installing the artificial turf - looks weird - I see them brooming instead of mowing

(I once saw vacuuming!).

April arrived with snow. The streets are bare in town, but not uphill. I suppose it'll be another month, possibly 1.5, before the lawnmowers start.

It is April 29th now. Sunday is May 1st, and we are expecting a high of 68 °F and a low of 49 °F. The high is a bit much for me, but there is a 60% chance of showers, so I like that. Today was my last day of physical therapy. These sessions have never been rough for me, but I am glad they are over. And, I found out I even left an impression on my therapist. One exercise includes a strap with three loops - one on each end for a patient's hands and one not quite in the middle that goes around her foot. Lying down, with the unstrapped leg kept straight, she is to pull the strap and bend the knee of her strapped leg up as far as she can. For some patients, this is easier said than done. But I came into therapy able to bend my knees to 130°, so the exercise itself was easy. But I found the positioning of the strap awkward. My therapist always put the short end on the outside and the long end on the inside. So, a few days into my therapy, I asked him to switch because the outside arm always goes higher. I'd been going to therapy for a month, and today - my last day, he told me he's been having all of his patients pull the strap my way ever since, and he's noticed a substantial improvement with them all. This man has been a therapist for thirteen years, and I was the first patient he knows of to suggest that. Then, as I was leaving the pharmacy, I passed a man getting money from the ATM in the vestibule and heard a small voice ask, "you got the monies?" And with that, I could not help but smile. The way he said it reminded me of my son. My therapist's confession and that little boy's question were like God winks telling me my birthday month will be much better. And I hope May brings you great joys as well.

Your weather sounds a lot like ours. We might get rain in a few days. Well you are the smart one. I am sure the therapist will always be thankful for the tip. Those little things can make us smile.
