Today's Project: Digging Wisteria

I worked outside this afternoon while hubby mowed the grass. The other day we cut down brush and some small trees from around trees and around the cement slab out where the old barter/general store used to be years before. So I hauled some of those piles to the other side of the house and property to the burn pile. After I did that (I didn't finish but was tired of going back and forth), I decided to get the shovel out and did up some wisteria before the man mowed it all down. I got about 8 up and potted them all. I did very well with these on Ebay last year so will be listing them again. I am not seeing hardly any pecan trees. That was another big seller on Ebay for me. I will finish up with potting on the next pretty day outdoors with getting some Elderberry bushes started/rooted. I will be adding to the plants going on Ebay this year with some day lilies. I will start with the Stella De Oro's lilies. They are a smaller flower in a deep golden yellow shade. I can't wait to get back outside! All of my flowers need attention! How are your flowers doing now that Spring is trying to take hold? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

The plants in the house that bloom are blooming right now. The stuff outside are just starting to sprout.

@kareng Trees and weeds are already blooming. The neighbors have flowers that are blooming already. We don't have anything this early.

My tomato plants are already a foot tall, but I still have to keep them inside. The nights are too cold for the moment.

I have several different varieties of tomatoes planted this year. I hope they do a lot better than last year!

I snatched up a muscadine today while pulling weeds. I'm glad I spotted it because it had great roots on it. I want to get some honeysuckle going here. That is the next thing I am attacking!

@wolfgirl569 I will work on all that next week. We have a pretty day today, but I am exhausted from all the running around.

@kareng Glad you found it. I am letting the trees leaf out a little bit more. Then I am going to try getting starts of those mulberry trees.

Do you grow flowers just too sell them or do you take time to enjoy them too? I'm surprised that they might get mowed down is that common where you live?

No, I started putting them on Ebay just to "save" the plants popping up all over my yard. That way someone else can also enjoy them. My husband is notorious for cutting things down. It is a war here. I always try to get out and dig before he mows. I have native pecan trees popping up also. And I root Elderberry trees for Ebay. It pretty much took off!

@kareng I like wisteria but have none to view nearby. I think my friend had one on her property years back.

We have mostly weeds in our front garden. One of these days we will hire a landscaper to plant some flowers and mulch. Have a good week.

Our front is still on the list for cleaning out. I know the azeleas need trimming but too late now as they are in full bloom.

@LindaOHio We had them in Bogalusa and it was so pretty when they bloomed. We had a row out front by the road from my grandparents house to our house and from our house to my aunt and uncles!

It started here today -- well yesterday now in the wee hours of the morning. It looks like it is going to be one of those weeks with lots of rain down this way.

I don't grow them. I learned many years ago I don't have much of a green thumb. Poor things I usually end up killing them some how.

That is how I am with hibiscus. I can't keep them alive for anything.Everyone says they plant them and leave them alone. That doesn't even work for me. lol

We need to get some more flowers, but we haven't yet. We had a cold snap last week which I am glad we hadn't planted anything yet.

That's great that you were able to sell plants on Ebay. My mum used to sell her pot plants but there was no Ebay back then.
