Bigfoot - Yes or No?

Bigfoot or Sasquatch has been seen over 10,000 times in the forests of North America. Reports of a big, hairy humanoid are also common around the world. The Skunk ape has been reported in the Southeastern United States, Yowie in Australia and the Yeti in Asia. Roughly 6 feet to 9 feet tall (10 feet to 15 feet in some areas), Bigfoot can be black, dark brown or a dark red. Footprint casts have been made which show the foot at 24 inches long and 8 inches across. These casts have said to be fake. Sightings in North America have been mostly in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest Washington, Oregon, Northern California and British Columbia, rural areas of the Great Lakes and Southeastern United States. Some other local names for Bigfoot are the Grassman in Ohio and the Wood Booger in Virginia. In California Petroglyphs 500 and 1,000 years old portray the "Hairy Man" and his family...so this is not just a recent legend. I think that observers see something; but what they are seeing is questionable. I don't know if I think there is a Bigfoot or not. How about you? Do you believe in Bigfoot? Have you ever seen one? If you are interested in reading more about Bigfoot and its history, there is a ton of information on the internet. Photo Credit: Pixabay Below are some videos of Bigfoot sightings:

As an avid outdoorsman, growing up in the woods of Florida and the southeastern US, I have heard many legends of of the Skunk Ape, the local version of Bigfoot. They reportedly got their local name because they smell so bad, so for us, it wasn't as much about seeing one as it was about smelling one. But I always asked myself, how do you tell the difference between smelling a Skunk Ape and just smelling a skunk? No one seems to be able to answer that one! lol

@LindaOHio I honestly think in almost all cases it’s people misidentifying bears who are standing on their two hind legs. At least that’s my theory.

@moffittjc Maybe. In the link that I posted, the first one looks like an ape.

I think there might be something out there; but I don't think it's a Bigfoot. An ape maybe?

These are similar to the abominable snowman or Yeti that we hear roaming around in Himalayas. I can neither fully support these reports nor can fully dismiss. Perhaps it could be a few Neanderthals or some other Human or Human Ape species. Or may be a global scale wizardry and fake news! Not sure which side is truer!

I’ve seen plenty of people with big feet. Some of them were quite hairy, too. No, I don’t believe in the “Bigfoot” creature.

I have watched many programmes about 'Bigfoot' and am not convinced. I guess it is possible, but what are the odds?

@LindaOHio I was quite fascinated by a similar series about Alaska. Some of the native stories have shape shifters and otter people. Are they based on real events or just scary stories?

The Abominable Snowman was a story in Doctor Who that featured the Second Doctor played by Patrick Troughton, but these yeti were robotic! They also featured again in another story, The Web of Fear where they appeared in the London Underground! It was another Second Doctor story.

The myth of sasquatch is the same like that of aliens. Humans need to see to believe, but 10,000 counts of sightings; that has to amount to something, no?

@LindaOHio I think from the shape of his body and the shape of his face and fur, he does look like a monkey family.
