She sure is fickle this year

Mother keeps changing her mind and I can't figure out why or even keep up. Maybe she's going through menopause. You might think my mother should be old enough to have completed that process since I'm turning seventy this summer, but I'm talking about the mother we've all had run ins with. Mother nature. These past two months when most other places are experiencing spring we have some spring and then winter again. This past Saturday it snowed all day. We didn't get any inches out of the mess but other areas in the state did. Yesterday and the day before it spit snow most of the day. Today the high may get to 51 and tomorrow in the sixties before going back down a bit Granted, each week we have a bit more warmer days and less colder ones but the nights are still cold getting down to 32 and one day recently 28. On the bright side my daffodils are getting ready to bloom and my hyacinths are clearing the earth. I'll be adding a pic later of a tulip I got from my husband for our anniversary. He doesn't usually give flowers so this was a surprise. (I have no good reason for not being around more. This week I switched from full time hours to part time, but we'll be starting our business back up by may. Maybe I'll be here more again maybe not).

@MarshaMusselman We had only two days of rain during the past 4 months. This morning it rained a little, no more than 10 minutes. It's not enough.

@LadyDuck no that's isn't enough rain. We've gotten at least one day per week and often three or more most weeks

thanks Marsha mother nature has changed in Kolkata also. In this month April we used to get norwesters called Kalbaisakhi. Presently we are not getting it

I imagine that might be a blessing to not be getting those unless they come a different month instead?

@MarshaMusselman thanks Marsha there is a prediction of having one in few days time. They reduce the local temperature by 3 to 4 degree celsius and creates a check on the heat in summer.

Here we have had a barrage of days with sunny but cool weather. Highs in the low 60s F. These were followed by a couple of days of moderate rain. I am looking forward to pool weather.

How warm do you consider pool weather to be and what is your normal temps this time of year?

Mother Nature can certainly be very fickle. Good luck with setting up your business again.

Thanks. We're mainly waiting for the weather and that the temps are more consistent and not as much rain. We have a few people calling to get on the list.

Mother Nature is fickle. She can’t make up her mind from one day to the next.

@MarshaMusselman I think here too. We’ve had so much rain. I think our temperature is in the higher 50s

Is she jumping all over the place there too? I suppose changes in climate everywhere affect our weather adversely. I remember a year when we had warm weather beginning the first of April. We may have had one snow soon but the temps didn't fluctuate so much

Mother Nature certainly has thrown us a curveball with the spring/winter roller coaster. I had to put the heat back on as the overnight temperatures were around the freezing mark.

I've not turned out heater off yet other than lowering it a day or so. This coming weekend temps might reach seventy. I'm sure it won't be on then unless the temps drop drastically at night.
