It Was A Busy Weekend

Happy Monday everyone!
I had a busy weekend so I didn't have any time to be here and chat.
Saturday my son in law and grandson had some sort of drill (or something) going on t the firehouse (my son in law is chief and grandson is a junior firefighter.) so my daughter came over for dinner and then we watched the Friends Reunion (from the popular sitcom Friends). I know this reunion show aired awhile ago but we totally forgot about it but I have to say it was really good. I still catch episodes of Friends on tv and it never disappoints.
Yesterday while having breakfast my daughter and I decided to go to Lowes and look for a barbecue grill. Not only did we find one but we also bought 2 new chairs and a side table for our deck. Since our car wasn't big enough to bring any of it home it's being assembled and delivered next week. I've been talking about this for awhile and now it's happening!!
While at Lowes we also decided to go across the highway to Raymour and Flannigan furniture store and browse. I've been talking about wanting a new bedroom set for ages and now after 'just browsing" I think I'm seriously going to consider it. I saw some that I really liked but since I knew I wasn't going to buy right now I didn't decide on one particular one.
I's hard to be in a furniture store without imagining all new stuff in every room of the house 
My head was spinning by the time we got home.
Today life is back to normal and the laundry is going while I have my coffee.
It's a cloudy day and looks like rain. No rain in the forecast but who knows what Mother Nature will decide to do.
So how was your weekend? Do anything fun?

A busy weekend indeed! Those furniture stores make me dream 
. We still need more rain here - literally too sunny here. Our weekend was busy away from home on Saturday - and then busy at home yesterday . . . I'm actually glad to have a quiet Monday.

Busy weekends do make Monday more enjoyable if it's relaxing.
Weve had so many dismal overcast days that it seems weird for you to say you have too much sun

Sat home all weekend. Got some housework done, but not as much as I wanted to.
Oh I get you on the new furniture thing! We are going to wait til we move never get new furniture.

It makes sense to wait until you move before getting new furniture but it's hard to not envision all new furniture when you're actually in a furniture store. I want to redo every room but I have perfectly good furniture and really not in dire need right now.

Sounds good that you have something to look forward to next weekend.
I'll be home alone as my daughter is going to a party and then she sleeps over so she doesn't drive home alone late at night. She has fun and I don't worry

I'm so happy we got a new barbecue as we haven't grilled outside for a few years. Getting 2 new chairs is a bonus and now I'll be even more excited to sit outside on my deck.

I watched the first few minutes of the Reunion show but, while I loved the series, I really didn't care about the reunion, so turned it off after the first ten minutes or so. *shrug*
I wasn't on myLot most of the weekend. My eyes swelled shut Thursday afternoon after we got home from the allergist and didn't open again until late Sunday. (We're still under a flood warning. All it did here was rain.)

@Marilynda1225 It rained again early this afternoon. I stepped outside to see if I could go out and mow this evening but the grass is still wet. We're supposed to have two days of sun. I'm hoping we can get the rest of the back yard finished because the front yard needs to be mowed again now.

What i enjoyed most about the reunion show was the behind the scenes stuff and seeing the sets and how the crew did the whole show along with some of the bloopers.
Hope by today you'e doing a little better and your eyes aren't quite so swollen and bad.
No rain here but this seems to have been a weird spring weather-wise

I enjoyed the Friends reunion more than I thought I would. My daughters wanted to watch it and at first I didnt care if I saw it or not but it turned out to be much better than I expected. I loved all the behind the scenes stuff.

I'm anxiously waiting for some nice weather. I"m so happy we found a nice set to go on the deck as well as a barbecue. We haven't grilled outside for a few years now and I do miss it
