After 2 years or more, Leticia called me today and said that she was coming for a visit.
For those who don´t know about Leticia, she started being my maid but stayed and helped my whole family through illness and deaths. I am sure that I would not have survived my chemo if she hadn´t been here to care for me.
A little before the pandemia started, she began to have several health problems. And then, hospitals just closed their doors for people who were not urgency cases.
I have been calling her and she has announced a visit many times but nothing has happened. It seems that today she´ll come.
I don´t know what to give her for lunch as I was planning on eating leftovers
But we´ll see when we come to that. I´m very happy. I´ll write a post about her visit when she goes away. See you

What a wonderful day you'll have seeing Leticia!! Enjoy it to the fullest and I'm sure she won't care what you have for lunch and will be just happy to see you too

You are right. We both were very happy and I gave her lentils soup and escalivada with buttered fried toast.

I was elated and so was she. Jorge brought her and asked us how long did we know each other. Counting with our fingers, we realised that we knew each other for 25 years.

@kobesbuddy Yes. She came to work at my house on 1997, when I had my back surgery. And she earned her place as a loved one soon after that with the way she treated my husband when he was dying 3 years later.

I did. I told her that I thought she had forgotten me but she told me that she did not dare visit me in the midst of the pandemia.
