Women In Charge?

Seems like the whole world is in a terrible mess.We have corrupt politicians, wars and rumours of wars, crime, fake news -- and the list can go on and on. It makes me wonder what would be the world situation if instead of a male dominated society , females were the ones calling the shots. What do you think? Would the world be a better place if females were in charge? Or would it be worse than it is? What say you? Pixabay image

I think the same messes would plague humans if females called the shots. Some things might be better but some things might be worse. Men and women share the same emotions and desires. I think it would be messy either way.

The women who are leaders of countries are performing quite well. The prison population has less women ...Thing is, power can change a person's personality, so there is indeed a big question mark there. Women in charge might be better or much worse.

@Kandae11 Just like men, women are subject to anger, resentment, grudges and revenge. I just wonder if power held over time, would suppress the nurturing instinct to the point where they would respond in the same way men have. I believe there would still be dictators and tyrants in a world run by women. I would like to think it would be a kinder and more friendly place but it could go the other way too. It depends on whether the women will be like Cleopatra or more like Margaret Thatcher. Rule by brutal force or by reserved efficiency? This was a good discussion because it made me think. My first reaction was that it would be a better and a more caring world but then had to think deeper. I think it might be the same either way.

Male or female it does not matter. We just need a strong person in charge.

I read once that women" s personal characteristics stem from love specially to the ones near them. I would vote for a woman if she were a candidate for president in my country. In the present there is a woman as the city"s chief where I live and she will probably be a candidate for the presidency in my country. Women should have a role in every ruling position. I think most of them if not all would bring a change to the established world order

I have found that women who are Prime Ministers or Presidents perform quite well. Of course no situation will be perfect, but l do think women would be less trouble in a troubled world.

Well I have also encountered women that would put men in the dust with their cruelty

@Kandae11 I do think that sometimes emotions can cloud a decision. And many women are very emotional. But then many men lack common sense.

There is the saying: " deadlier than the male" - meaning some women can be more dangerous than men..l had a female boss once - no real problem there. All other superiors in my work situations over the years were male. No problem there either - except for those who tried to be fresh.

@RebeccasFarm That is correct. Emotions could get in the way.

NO, considering that now groups of young girls are more violent than groups of young boys I fear the opposite would be true.

@Kandae11 I am reading horrible stories about young girls, they are becoming so violent.

@LadyDuck. It is worse in some societies, even here in the Caribbean, schoolgirls fighting over boys instead of attending to their studies.

I think it would be much better. Women aren't quite so ego-driven in my opinion. They are more than capable of running a country.

I'm thinking there might be more aide and financial help to more people. I'm thinking for example of the chancellor of Germany Angela Markle. She gave 1 billion dollars to Greece even though they were already in default for a billion dollars. Had that been a man he might have said, Greece should have saved more money and not overspend. Women would spend more money on housing and make more policies that make life easier for people. I would spend 40 billion to help the homeless and dole out nice checks to low income people as a stimulus every year.

Women are known to do very well with running a household - sometimes with a limited amount of cash. I think they would do very well with finance and also instead of jumping into war l think they would rather negotiate, negotiate, negotiate.l think you would make a good head of a country.

I don't see what would change to be honest. Seems we will always have corruption no matter what.

It really doesn't matter who is in charge because we are all humans of the same nature.

Yes we are all humans but women have some different characteristics compared to men.
