When Diego came 2 days ago I asked him about his plans (typical question for a grandmother to ask). He told me that he would study next year and that this year he would work and save to give the first installment for a little house in the south where that is much cheaper. Then he told me how he had worked for some time in the south where the paeple who hired him wanted him to work for 16 hours for the minimum wage. That is against the law here but some people do it now that there are so many immigrants here I asked him if he could help me while he was in Santiago and he was happy to do so. I haven´t told him yet but I will pay him the same amount of money that I paid the last gardener I hired. He is now coming to my house and we will have breakfast together while I tell him what to do. Then while he works, I´ll get ready for the beauty shop. See you later, friends

I'm sure Diego will go a good job and be grateful to be paid. What happened to your other gardener?

Diego will be glad to work for you I'm sure. It's a shame that some exploit others.

That sounds like a win win for both of you.. You'll get the work done and he'll get paid.

I remember you mentioning about it in your earlier post. You have a wonderful gentleman there as your grandson. I am sure that the surprise pay will be thrilling for him. It's a nice gesture to appreciate his help.
