Was awaken at 6:am this morning. Not the cats. A baby bird. The Dude found him first, then Brendel. At the top of the front door. Chirping so loud. Sounded like he was inside the house.
Finally his Momma came with breakfast. She lured him down into the front yard. All is well now. So much excitement in the front and back yard now. I can see the little birds following their parents around, looking for food.
And still learning to fly. Amazing how they fledge from the nest and it takes about 10-12 days to learn to fly. I am afraid for them at this stage as they are very vulnerable during this time. Fingers crossed for the best.
Photo is mine.

That's an interesting photo. I haven't heard any babies around here, it's as if no birds built nests here this year.

This post reminded me that I had a Robin that stayed in my yard yesterday and posed for me. So I got several sides of him. I didn't look for nests anywhere and didn't see any other birds nearby.
I couldn't get my collage to load here so this is one side.

They definitely have the best guardian they can have! Hope all the babies survive.

I imagine how excited The Dude and Bredel were, I am glad that Mom took care of the baby.
