It seems there will be camping

I mentioned in another discussion that this weekend we are to have a motorcycle Grand Prix in our tiny town. It is to commemorate the town being 150 years old. This is an attempt, also, to bring more people to our tiny town. Yesterday as I left for work there was a big tractor/mower moving in to the field across the street. He mowed and mowed all day. This is unusual. Usually the field is allowed to grow and dry and become hay and someone harvests it. I saw a map last night that indicates there will be public camping there this weekend for the festivities. I had thought that perhaps they were going to begin the race there. I am not quite sure how I feel about having strangers set up camp just across the street from me for the weekend.

Does that feel intrusive for you?

Yes, it does, but they were very good temporary neighbors.

For the most part, it did. I felt a bit trapped but got over it.

@GardenGerty I'm glad everything worked out. When Pretty and I were forced to stay home because we thought I had Covid, we felt trapped and kept talking about things we'd like to go do but couldn't. When it turned out I didn't have Covid and we could go and do something, we didn't want to anymore.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about it either but at least it is only for a weekend. It could be quite disruptive.

They did really well. I still felt "watched" but they did not party too loud or make messes or anything.
