Have you ever used a pumice stone?

I think they're mostly used for callused heals and toes but I plan on using mine too rub off some of the corn I have underneath a toe. I've been treating the corn with salicylic acid pads. My sister uses sharp tools to dig hers out but I can't do that partly because I'm squeamish and mostly because I have bad veins and I'm supposed to be extra careful . The pumice stone should help to get the top layer off at the very least. The stones are overall shaped and for in the poison of your hand.

That's probably the same thing. I don't know what they're made or of. Your clay one might be a pumice stone.

I’ve heard of pumice stones but don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

They are oval in shape mostly and for in the palm of your hand. Some similar ones come on a stick too.

@RubyHawk I softened it with salicylic acid in pads first and between the pumice stone and my fingernails for the majority of it off. Only problem is it will grow back eventually.

I use one every time that I shower to keep my heals smooth. I hope it helps for your callus.

@MarshaMusselman Little by little, using after the salicylic acid pads you should arrive to get rid of it.

It seemed to take the first layer off. I'm sure it will be a process.

Yes it does but I'm less leery of those than using something with sharp edges. Like they make what looks like a grater for the feet. I won't ever use that.

@paigea a pumice stone won't ever accidentally remove more skin than planned.

I wouldn't know but if it's there it would be near the things to use on ones feet.

I have in the past, but I don't have one now. I had a pedicure about a month ago, so that took care of some rough areas.

I've never had a pedicure before but my toe nails are rather weird. The sides of my big toes are a little rough but I'll mostly be using it for the corn I think.

Guys don't worry about what their feet look like the same way that women do. But if you had a corn on the bottom of your foot your might want to try it

I used one when I was young and decided I should use it again for the corn on the bottom of my foot near the toes. It gets especially painful when I stand a long time.

It's been some time that I've used one too. Maybe not twenty years though.
