I am thankful for the fun weekend the campers had here in our town. The races were fun, and muddy as I can see from the pictures. I am thankful that I do not see a bit of trash from the crowd. The city brought out a dumpster Thursday. By last night it was full and pile up high on top. I thought nothing of it much. At six this morning the city came out with a truck and emptied the dumpster. It is full and overflowing again. I have not seen a bit of loose trash. It is bagged. It is in the receptacle. The campers appear to have all pulled out. I will believe they are all gone when the porta potties are picked up. Hope you had a neat weekend as well.

It is great to see people actually pick up after themselves! What a blessing! Campers are good at that, though: nature lovers’ motto is, “Leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but pictures.”

I was given the impression by someone who remembers these events fro the 1970's that this was usually rough, boisterous and inconsiderate. Glad he was wrong this time.

They cleaned up after themselves. The city just kept the dumpsters emptied.

At the big music festival we go to, everyone is given a big garbage bag as we drive in the gate and we all bag our rubbish. This was before covid. The last two have been cancelled.
