Salmon Patties For Dinner

Was looking for something different and easy for dinner. Salmon patties. It has been a long time since I cooked these. And they are really tasty. We had these often growing up. My mom would always have mac and cheese and pinto beans with the patties. Very good dinner. I used drained canned salmon, red bell pepper, bread crumbs, egg, and seasonings. My sister made these as well. She served them with a dipping sauce. One was sort of like thousand island dressing. Very good with tartar sauce, cream cheese or sour cream as well. Photo is mine.

They look delicious, I have never had salmon patties. We like salmon filet, so we would probably like these also. I made meatballs with a sweet and sour bbque sauce and coincidentally enough, since you mentioned it, mac and cheese. We had some bread sticks on the side and my hubby enjoyed some devilled eggs that I did up for him.

I've ate beef patties as well as salmon as actual fish. But not yet been aware of salmon patties.

The patties look tasty. My wife and sons would love them. For reasons buried deep in my childhood, so deep I can't even recall them, I have a real phobia about eating any kind of fish. My mother insists there is no rational reason for it. I grew up eating fish sticks and fish patties all the time. Then, one day, I didn't like them anymore.

When salmon is mixed with other ingredients, it cuts the salmon taste a little.
