Hawaii, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, will have King Tides, during the next Super Moon the Strawberry Moon. Tuesday & Wednesday forecast for the King Tides here at Hawaii, June 14 & 15.
According to,
July 12 & 13 and August 10 & 11 is the next King Tides for Hawaii.
King Tides mean, instead if the usual waters edges the waves will be much longer coming into land sometimes to the road!
I found a 2019 news clip of some of what happens at a King Tides on Oahu. I'll be inland, Tuesday and Wednesday.

So they are like tidal waves? are they good for surfing or should you just avoid them entirely?

Should avoid them all together. Not quite a tidal wave, just riding tides, rising way much inland. The YouTube video shows how last year's King Tides was.

It's important to learn how to swim, but it's best to avoid a high tide.

Well I had never known about these King Tides, thank you so interesting.
The highest wave I saw at the shoreline was 20 ft high up in the North Shore..the Atlantic Ocean.
It was a big Noreaster Storm. Hurricane force winds too.

Do the surfers take advantage of these waves or is it too dangerous? Have a great day.
