Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 67 degrees F and cloudy here at the Jersey Shore. It was pouring before for about half an hour. There is a crew up on the roof of a neighboring building and they got absolutely soaked. I wouldn't want to be 3 stories up on a roof in the pouring rain but they kept at it. I woke up at 7 am this morning. I had some breakfast, made a cup of tea, read the news, took a shower, did the dishes, and now I am catching up here. I don't really have anything planned for the day other than an hour of tutoring this afternoon. What's everyone else up to today?

Roofing is one of the jobs I could not do in any weather. I am afraid of heights. lol

I don't like them either. Years ago my ex, my college roommate, and I vacationed in Vegas. The 2 of them went to whatever southern Grand Canyon site there is like 4 hours from there and walked out over it on some glass sidewalk. I didn't care to spend 8 hours in a car to see the Grand Canyon. I would NEVER have stepped out onto that. A couple of years ago he and I went to go see the Jimmy Buffett musical on Broadway. We had a great time and then he surprised me by taking me from like the 3rd floor to like the 80th! It was a restaurant that ROTATED. We had cocktails at a table by the window and yes it was romantic but I was also freaked out.

@NJChicaa Speaking of glass walks, they have one outside the Stratosphere in Vegas. I was holding onto things trying to claw my way back inside while my friends and family laughed at me. lol

@porwest Those crazies did the top of Stratosphere too. Hung out over the edge and I think got shot up into the air too

We got a little rain yesterday, but not much. It's under 70degrees here. But, tomorrow the weather is supposed to get hot, then worse on Thursday and Friday. Three digits, I don't believe this report. Even during August, we don't get that much heat.

In few minutes, I will be sleeping. So, have a wonderful day ahead. 7am is too late for me. I usually wake up 5am to cook and prepare for breakfast. My husband goes to work at 7am so that's it..

Hope those bad storms bypassed you (I saw on the news severe weather was hitting the Jersey shore) I certainly wouldn't want to be up on a roof during bad weather either. Nothing much going on here today. I had a busy morning and hopefully can relax for awhile this afternoon

My husband had his second surgery today on his face. They got all of the cancer with this second surgery; and he is home safe and sound.
