Good day to you all,
The weather people were right it is quite the hot one here today. 2:45pm here right now and the air temperature is 102F (38C), but they say with heat index it feels like 110F (43C) but not to worry the temperature should start dropping in the next hour or so.
It was quite hot at work today, but I kept drinking and drinking. I drank 4 small bottles of Gatorade, my 48 oz jug of water, 2 cans of Dr. Pepper, and 4 additional 16oz bottles of water so far today. I just refilled the 48oz jug with water and started drinking that. Hope that will be enough for the day.
Tomorrow we are to get a lot of the same, but they are calling for it to be a few degrees cooler.
I am ready to eat dinner and go to sleep but I must wait a few hours. This day drained me of all my energy. Dinner is going to be some ham, corn, and green beans with a big glass of water. Following that with a nice bowl of ice cream and just chill in the A/C and relax for the evening.
Hope you all have a good night.

That’s some brutal heat you’re dealing with. Hope it doesn’t stay that way all summer. I’ve probably doubled my consumption of water since summer began. I’m sure I’m sweating it out as fast as I’m putting it in.

@Bensen32 I was dragging today, and I’m pretty sure it was because of the heat and not drinking enough water.

I am enjoying my day at home working on Flag Day with warm weather but without the extreme humidity that hit my area yesterday,

@Bensen32 I know what you mean with the humidity being the hardest part of the heat.

I tend to drink a lot of water during the day, any time of the year—just because I feel like I have to force it down. Years ago I got severely dehydrated because obviously most things we drink are diuretics. I do this even though I work in an air conditioned office—of which I am grateful.
But I did spend many years in production and I remember those blistering days well.
