A few months ago I shared with you Dustin's godfather passed away with bone cancer. His wife is still having a difficult time of course. They were married almost 50 years.
I talked awhile with her yesterday. She has a new companion. She rescued a Yorkie dog named Chloe. She is 14 years old. She was a show dog. And has no teeth. She also said she has never had a bed. Always stayed in a crate. So sad for many animals to have this kind of life.
This has made her day and her life to help this little dog. Always been an animal lover like myself. It has been an adjustment for both of them. But she said now, after only 14 days, Chloe is like her shadow. She plans to give her a loving home for as long as she has left.
Such a happy conversation. Had to share Ms. Chloe with you all.

Chloe had a hideous life, with no dental care for her teeth. Animals trapped inside a wire cage, is the worst abuse imaginable. No love, no tender loving care, no playing. Just existing in a wire box. She didn't deserve this abuse! Now Chloe can finish out her life, with tender, loving kindness
A beautiful story:)
She's precious!

I agree. She said the previous owner was arrested on numerous charges. Not sure of the details. Apparently she had many dogs and was not taking care of them, both show dogs and dogs at home. This little one here has had many litters of puppies.

@CarolDM you know how it goes I also now have the two kittens and you should see Ringo at bedtime, I have some small stuffed animals which were present from my husband when he flew on planes for business here and there and they sit on a bedside table, Ringo get up among them and buries his head among them and sleeps that way.

@CarolDM You are so welcome.
When I consider all of my beloved pets; some I still have and some have since passed,
I always think of it as a mutual rescue.
We certainly need each other.

A lot of dogs use crates as a den. Our largest dog used to sleep in a cage, but the older female dogs would get in before him. Now they all have beds a d no competition.

Chloe is a doll. I wonder if it is common for Yorkies to lose their teeth. My friend Jane rescued one who also came with no teeth. Yes, pets can be wonderfully comforting to us.

Is so nice to meet little Ms Chloe.
What a wonderful story of 2 loving souls finding each other, and beginning a new life together.
I find that so rich, so beneficial for both of them.
And finally, after all of these years Chloe has a bed, in a home where she will be loved and cared for, and Mum has new company in the house again-that must feel so great.
