Post title says it all.
Got a message from a colleague of mine from my previous work. He said that they are hiring again. He had transferred to a sales job that offered a great career opportunity for me. I had applied before and I passed but I didn't pushed through because the hiring manager then and I did not agree with the compensation package. They gave a lower offer than what I had asked for. Additionally, there were no assurances about when I could possibly get a raise when I start with them.
Fast forward to today and I got a phone call from the same hiring manager. She remembers me and what happened to my previous application. She was happy to tell me that what they are offering now for the position is slightly higher than what I wanted. She said she will set up an interview with one of the operations managers today. We had agreed upon the time and while I we were talking on the phone, she had sent the Zoom invite for the interview and wished me luck. She had even mentioned my possibly start date because they need to fill in the post immediately.
So, I confirmed and waited for the start time of my Zoom interview. It came and went.
15 minutes passed by.
30 minutes passed by.
Until a full hour passed time.
No one showed up.
I emailed the hiring manager but I have yet to receive a reply.
I guess this job ain't meant for me. Oh well, their loss not mine.
Did you ever feel that some things are never meant to be?

Yes, but you shouldn't feel that way. It's entirely possible the person you were supposed to have a meeting with was not told of the meeting or that they were called away unexpectedly.
Try contacting the hiring manager again and ask if there was a problem. It's entirely possible the job is still waiting for you to start in that position.

That's a possibility.
The hiring manager did email already and apologized for what happened. She requested that a new interview be done next Monday night.

Maybe, there is a reason for what happened. They already gave you all the details and I think they will contact you again.
Anyways, I experieced something like that before and I felt the same way not meant for me but they just moved the interview schedule because something came up at the time. So, I think you should give them a chance and wait

Perhaps, I should.
Anyway, the hiring manager already emailed back. She wanted to move the interview next Monday. She never gave a reason for the interviewer not showing up though.

Yes, but I don't think this is one of them. If you want the job, I would keep inquiring about it. There could have been some kind of glitch, maybe even a personal emergency...patience.

Hiring manager emailed already and apologized. She did not give an explanation though. I didn't ask for one. Interview was rescheduled for Monday night.

True.
It was unprofessional. No reason was given to me why the interviewer didn't show up.

The time to having you a new job with a better compensation hasn't arrived yet.
