Do you think dreams are messages?

I always try to interpret my dreams that are vivid about their meanings. And I find it helpful in guiding some of my actions/decisions. I try to interpret dreams in my own way because individuals are unique beings and each of their dreams may have a different meaning for each person. There may be general meanings but the details are individualized. There are many dream dictionaries online but I rarely refer to them. Of course, this does not apply to all dreams, I only pick the vivid ones and those that have constantly appeared, and I am learning how to interpret some dreams correctly, Even in the Bible, certain dreams had meanings and you can benefit from these interpretations if done properly. What about you? Do you find hidden meanings in your dreams?

Yes, I look for meaning in my dreams. Freud and Jung are my guides.

Jung highly valued the dreams, as he saw dreams as the attempt of the psyche to communicate with the individual. Have you seen the movie "A Dangerous Method"? It's about Freud and Jung, I loved.

I think all our dreams are messages from our unconscious but we can’t always interpret them.

Yes, not all dreams have meaningful messages. I only interpret the vivid and repeated dreams

From a brain development dreams are our brains way of tells us a lot of different things, from what we are truly scared of, to problems we might need to solve. Our subcontinents talking to you. Now some times not everyone has this happens where you can have a psychic moment where you see part of the future of what will happen. I get them a few times a year doesn’t mean they happen with in days some times what I dream doesn’t happen for months, or till years later but they are still very fresh in the mind and when that day finally comes I’m like oh why, I saw things.

I agree...some of my vivid dreams happen a year later. Some of them are psychic dreams and some are memories of the past.

@Jenaisle if they happen years later then it’s not a memory for the past. The past is actually in the past not the future.

I had premonitory dreams in the past, but most dreams are only dreams, with no meanings.

The messages that I get from my dreams is saying that I miss driving on roads of my former hometown of Metairie Louisiana which is a suburb of New Orleans going to a fast food restaurant or grocery store.

Dreams are somehow associated with our subconscious mind. There are dreams I can interpret easily, like I dreamed of having dinner with my parents. They passed long time ago, but they're always on my mind. However, there are dreams I cannot interpret. I've dreamed of meeting people whom I've never met before.

Did you also dream of the feeling of deja vu?

@Beestring Deja vu is the feeling that seems you have been there although physically you haven't yet. Perhaps, in another liftetime?

In my opinion yes it conveys messages. A long time ago I dreamt seeing a bigger moon, much bigger than full moon. I don't know what it means.

Yes, every dream has some message hidden in them. I always correlate them. Also, they are things that we cannot do in real life so our mind thinks of them and we see dreams about them at night.

I hope that you can find one who can interpret dreams. Yes, dreams can be a message, just like how God worked on Joseph's life.

I rarely remember my dreams when I wake up in the morning. There have been a few vivid ones that I did remember, but most were easy to interpret.

@Jenaisle Usually for me it's when I'm stressed, overworked or tired that I have vivid dreams. I do remember one time my doctor prescribed me a medication to treat something (I can't remember what it was), but he warned me that a side effect of the medication was vivid dreams. During that period I was on that medication, my dreams were very vivid and realistic, to the point I felt like I was awake and taking part in the dreams. It was very intense. Thankfully, none of those vivid dreams were bad ones.
