Today is Tuesday. I work at my friend's preschool in the morning and then teach until 8 PM at Guitar Center this afternoon.
My language-challenged kid is trying to say my name! I think she also said "milk" yesterday. I'll write more about it later.
She said "aqua" at first, but then said something close to milk.
So in her 2-year-old mind, "agua" means something to drink (not necessarily water) and milk is a "sub-set" of aqua.
I'll write about how I "tested my hypothesis" later. Gotta go!

Thanks! Another (Spanish speaking) girl galls me Papy. I asked one of my Spanish speaking co-workers if that mean Grandpa. She said it usually means "Daddy"! I was honored. She is my book-fixing queen. I'll write about her soon. She's 2 1/2.

-----------It's the same sort of thing as people in the South calling all soft drinks Coke and then further specifying. Like, "Give me a Coke. An orange one."

I love spending time with babies learning to speak. I have one such 20 month old as my neighbour. Enjoy your time though long.
