I am going to lay down again

I woke up at 4:30, that was over two hours ago. I had a headache and needed coffee.
Hubby woke up and came out and we visited for a little bit, then he went back to bed.
I had breakfast, and then I put a casserole in the oven for later. I wanted to do it before the heat of the day, then we will heat up single servings for our meals.
My friend Jane is coming to Marion this morning to bring a pet to the vet. We will sit and drink tea in the park and catch up on our visiting.
I have plenty of time to rest before I go, and I think I will.
It is about time I started having a "summer vacation".

Is it as chilly outside there as it is here? I opened up the windows and doors about 5 am to let the cool breeze blow through the house. It was 62F, then. The air felt nice and without a trace of humidity but I'm sure that will change as the day gets warmer. Our high today is supposed to be around 88F, so I'll need to close the house back up before it starts getting too warm outside.

I believe it was 67 when I got up, and we hit 92. My windows are not as functional as I would like. I do get up and open all the doors in the morning to let the coolness in.

@DaddyEvil The cats have removed the screens. No fast fix. They literally have torn the screening off.

@GardenGerty We hit 91F today. I had to remove the locking device from some of my windows before opening them but set them back in place without securing them when I closed everything up again. (Before we go anywhere I'll need to screw them back into place.)

I am ready for a real break. There is always mowing to do as well. Today I finally got my lemon grass planted in a large planter, though.

I usually get up at 5, so 4:30 was not too bad. I did get a nap before I left though.
